1.Q |
Tell me
about the first time you remember being thrilled. |
|
1.A |
Sexual
thrill is easiest for me to remember: I was 6 and a teacher
threatened to put me over her knee and give me 'a good old-fashioned
spanking' |
|
|
2.Q |
What’s the slightest thing
to have thrilled you? |
|
2.A |
A new female
acquaintance mentioned, off-handedly, that she 'was never spanked'.
The simple fact that she had used the word 'spanked' thrilled
me--even though it was used in a negative context |
|
|
3.Q |
What’s the most frightening
yet thrilling thing you’ve done? |
|
3.A |
Age 11:
going down rapids on a makeshift raft |
|
|
4.Q |
Tell me
why you’re not completely sensible. |
|
4.A |
God knows!
I'm just very, very lucky, I guess. |
|
|
5.Q |
What’s
the most uninhibited thing you’ve ever done? |
|
5.A |
Sitting
surrounded by drunken fascists, I proudly declared myself to
be Irish; and offered to fight the whole man-jack of them |
|
|
6.Q |
What have
you considered doing for pleasure but were too concerned about
the risks? |
|
6.A |
Putting
my stroppy wife across my knee. She would kill me if I tried
it! |
|
|
|
|
|
7.Q |
Describe
the event in one sentence (there’s time to expand later) |
|
7.A |
Dressed
as a18th century French aristocrat, I had my bottom whipped
by a woman dressed as a robber-girl |
|
|
8.Q |
Tell me
a bit about yourself around this time. |
|
8.A |
I was in
my late-twenties and, barely, earning a living as an actor.
The incident took place, back-stage, during a production of
The 'Snow Queen'. |
|
|
9.Q |
List the
sequence of events leading up to your thrill. Try to remember
how you felt at each stage. The smallest detail could be important
(this is your chance to expand). |
|
9.A |
I was
in the dressing-room waiting for my call. Another man was
present. A female actor, playing the robber-girl, came off
stage in a state of exhilaration--the audience's applause
echoing down the stairs after her. She came into the men's
dressing-room, carrying a riding-crop. She had spotted it
as she was passing the props cupboard. There she stood, in
her
raggedy costume, swishing the crop through the air. She enquired
of us:
are either of you kinky?
'Yes! I am,' I replied, 'I love being caned and spanked.
You can cane me if
you like!'
I leaned over the back of a chair--presenting my silk-clad
bottom as her
target. |
|
|
10.Q |
What were
your thoughts and feelings at the precise moment of thrill? |
|
10.A |
As the
swift and bitter strokes struck smartly home, I felt as if held
in a flying eagle's talons: pain; comfort; exhilaration--were
all components of the experience. |
|
|
11.Q |
What did
you do afterwards? |
|
11.A |
I squeezed
her hands and kissed her on the lips. Then my call came through
the PA. I went on stage and found myself giving my best performance
of the run (much more foppish and camp than hitherto the case). |
|
|
12.Q |
What were
the risks? |
|
12.A |
Her offer
might have been 'only joking'; when I bent over the chair she
might merely have laughed at me. The man who was present might
have made some scornful comment. |
|
|
13.Q |
What did
you imagine other people thought of you during and after the
event? |
|
13.A |
I imagine
she was taken aback to find such a willing recipient. I imagine
the other man present was, perhaps, a little envious. |
|
|
14.Q |
How often
do you think about the event, and why? |
|
14.A |
It's difficult
to quantify but I do think about it fairly often. I do so because
it was the very first time I had expressed my desires in public
and with such inhibition. |
|
|
15.Q |
Some people
probably don’t understand how such a thing can thrill
you; explain it to them. |
|
15.A |
Different
strokes for different folks--I just prefer my strokes on the
backside |
|
|
16.Q |
What three
changes could have made the experience better, and why? |
|
16.A |
1) more
time to savor the experience, both: the actual caning, and its
finale.
2) I feel I ought to have offered to reciprocate
3) It would have been nice to get to know the woman more; but
I haven't seen her since. |
